SAMURAI & TRANSFORMER SUNBEAM CASE REVIEW
Introduction
Here are 2 distinctive cases up for review today. Sunbeam have kindly sent me 2
cases for review, firstly we have the Samurai which is a mid tower case and
finally we have the Transformer which is a full tower case.
Sunbeam have been around in the hardware game for a while now and have produced
a number of excellent accessories for cases such as CCFL’s, lights, fans etc and
have now released some exciting cases for the modding community.
We will see how these cases fair out further along the review so please read on
to find out.
The Samurai Case
Specs of Samurai
We’ll look at the Samurai in more detail first.
The Samurai case I received from Sunbeam came in a Jet Red
color and from my
first impressions I was amazed by the look of the case. It does have character
and defiantly looks different from the normal boring beige cases that you get
when you buy say a generic case that costs around £10-£15 on the net.
The front of the case has a unique look which to me is a great design feature as
it gives the case a real aggressive feel to it showing that this case is for
that power hungry pc user who demands performance and power from their product.
As you can see from the picture below, that big button on the front is actually
the power button, its nice to see Sunbeam have done something different here as
we always see the power button will normally be just a small button on the front
with no design feature to it…well done Sunbeam for trying a different approach
to case design.

On the front of the Samurai case there are the usual USB ports that are found on
many cases these days and also there are audio ports to. These USB ports always
come in handy as say you need to attach a digital camera to your pc its always
so much hassle having to go around the back of the case to attach the USB cable
in so having it on the front of the case make life so much easier.
As you can see from the picture below, the Samurai includes five 5.25” drive
bays so gives plenty of room for adding in drives such as the usual DVD ROMs
drives etc and also includes five 3.5 drive bays.
