[FAD]Stats for Fri 24th Oct - Midnight GMT

Quite a slow day today, we only just uploaded 400 thousand points which is one of out lowest scores for quite some time. I think this is due to the current jobs that are running and it looks like it has effected nearly all teams. Looking on the bright side though, we still gained 100 thousand points on Stinktank

My server is now back up and running fine, although my new stats database was lost. I have of course started re-writting it and I was up til 3am getting the bulk of it done. This will be especially usefull when doing a end of month stats over on FaD. My stats "engine" has been re-done so that it is almost automatic - Just literaly copy and paste from the stats server, quick format and done I still have to enter some things, as for example I can't get excel to add up the cpu times because of the format. For those that are interested, I will post a description of what it does when I have it all done.

Anyway, stop talking about it, show us the numbers...

Milestones:
--------------
Team XPC - 75 thousand jobs
mondobyte - 150 thousand hits
Manda - 5 thousand hits
gliddend - 50 thousand points

Win2Kuser's System Info

Hehe, I actually managed to stay sober last night - I shall obviously be making the most of it tonight though. Going to a masked ball and will be hob nobbing with Wiltshires finest

All I gotta do now is learn how to waltse
As I don't think they will be playing Trance Techno somehow...

So what's the deal with stinktank then, have they got some new members or something, I havn't seen any large dumps from them yet, but TT seems to think they have...

Yeah, I see you, too. Awesome! Not gonna be too long now.

I've picked up my output some, but nowhere near enough to hold you off. I remember one time I was leaving a Stuckeys on I-15, heading to San Diego. By the time I entered onto the highway, after building up a head of steam on the long on-ramp, I was doing somewhere around 105-110 MPH. Glanced into my rear view mirror a moment later, and watched, fascinated, as this car came up behind me like I was standing still. Sure enough, California Highway Patrol. As he was writing out the ticket I asked him whatt the hell he had under the hood. He told me it was a modified "Hemi" perfectly capable of doing 160+. I believe it, that thing moved.

Kinda reminds me of your position and "velocity" right now...

`````````````````````````````````````````````````` `
Got all the parts for my brother's system in. Looks like I'll be building that this weekend.
Also, ordered myself a 2700+. Gonna put that in this main machine here, and put the 2400+ that is in this into a KR7A-133R
Ended up having to re-install my machine last night, replaced my 2 40's with a 120Gig drive, my 2 40's are now in my FTP server (so it doesn't rely on a mapped drive for uploads)
Good work everyone.
PU, I'm waiting for you to show up, but you're taking forever (good job climbing so fast)
I looked at Statman...LAURENU2 has joined them. I guess he must have been impressed by the performance of...er...one of their members...on the FAD boards last night/this morning. Enough said !!!
Sorry guys, my phones have been down the last few days and the PS in my server blew with the lightning. I hope its only the PS anyway. All the other machines have carried on crunching, but my fastest one (1.6 athlon) has finished its queue. more jobs on the way tomorrow I hope.
Thanks again to W2kuser for these lovely stats pages.
Don't be a spoilsport Plum. I'm planning on letting her come right up to me - real close - an' then I'll hold her hand for a while and lead her through the forest ("the forest" is everybody from Jskorna up, 'cos I reckon Mickwish has seen the last of me...
No idea - something must have been pretty highly strung and just snapped !
I posted about Mondo being in a mellow mood (halfway down page three of the thread), went off somewhere else to make a nuisance of myself (Top Cats I think), and got back to find three rubbishy vitriolic postings from Lord Haw Haw - sorry, Lord Hee Hee - aimed at Mondo and/or us - the third was at me. Can't remember exactly what the the first two said, Vester deleted the first two, not important anyway.
So I thought, the guy's madder than usual tonight - or as he likes to express it himself - more evil than usual toníght - he must have had several dozen drinks to show his face in our thread, so take it easy. And I "welcomed" him with the "come to clean our loos" posting. Mondo quickly followed it up, and then I think PJ came along and asked if he could join in the game as well, and all h*ll broke loose.
Lord HeeHee just went on ranting and raving like nobody's business. A complete madman. Thank God he's ThinkTank's problem, not ours. The only problem we've got is me...
Edit: I should add Bob that your apology was as neat a bit of prose as I've seen for a long time. And as for the content...words fail me I guess. Great.
well sixfoot4, you pretty much know all the names of the ones that came over from TIMO. the entire team roster is right at the top of the thread, count away.
but this team goes beyond numbers. it's about having fun crunching FAD again. it's about being able to post stuff and not having the mods say there are too many FAD posts. it's about seeing the board owner, MntSnow actively crunching with us instead of an absentee, scottw at TIMO.
look thru some of our daily stats threads and compare them to the ones on TIMO. then you tell me if there's any difference.
Mntsnow's System Info
There is several new members that are crunching FAD that never were at Timo.... We have many of XPC's RC5 crunchers now doing FAD or in a couple of cases BOTH projects....I personally have come to a choice that I am going to move the majority of my boxes over to FAD since it is a more noble cause but I'm still going to keep a couple working on RC5 until I at least hit the one year mark and then I will continue to support RC5 one way or another...
i like the content of your stats win2k, ever think of decreasing the font size though? it takes up more than the whole screen. and i am at 1280.
so basically you are telling me you guys have had about the same growth as TIMO then.
oh, i think we do all right. this board doesn't get the number of visitor hits that techimo does, but we manage to recruit pretty good anyway...mostly by word of mouth, though.
actually, if you look at your numbers (on TIMO), i kinda think that's where the disparity lies. for a board that has that many active posters, your recruitment ratios don't jive.
also, fad is about commitment. according to statsman, timo has a 36% active team roster, we've got 81%. now i know we've only been around for 2 months and yeah, we've had a couple of people drop out...but by & large, this team is very close, very focused and we have fun here. AND we all visit techimo quite often.
so from my point of view...i really don't see any down side to joining us. the choice is yours, my friend.
