Minecraft Mods
Youngest is getting into playing Minecraft, and now wants to install the mods for Trains and Zeppelins.
I know the process for installing a mod, but what I cannot seem to do is download a copy of the new modloader, or the mod files themselves! A couple of sites have tried to send me nasties, the minecraft site tries to download BearShare or iLivid but then stalls! Any thoughts from those more familiar with Minecraft appreciated! ![]() Bob

http://www.minecraftdl.com/modloader-risugami-download/ (dont use bearshare or iLivid!!! Nasties out there) I also got my mods here: http://www.minecraftdl.com/category/minecraft-mods/

Mine goes to a direct link rather than iLivid - DNS poisoning?

Tried several times on 3 different machines now, and all come up with iLivid or Bearshare, so I'm thinking it is something relevant to this side of the pond, possibly dns poisoning or something similar!
Can anyone get an address on the direct download for modloader? ![]() Bob

Downloaded modloader, followed instructions to copy over files, ran the prog and it froze out! I'm starting to dislike the minecraft mod concept, LOL

Quick update:
Having found how to freeze Minecraft, I took a spare half hour, fiddled around with minecraft.jar, and managed to hose it completely!! Both online and offline versions! So, I deleted everything except last login, textures and saves, relaunched it and it reinstalled everything correctly, so now I'm back to where I was! Round 2 of Modloader installation will begin soon! ![]() Bob

Now on the third attempt at installing the third copy Modloader on the second machine, still no joy! Must be either outdated software, or operator error!!!
