I am needing a Pentium 3 Processor (slot prefered but will consider socket based it HSF is included) and mother board that works. I would like to use PC100 ram so the board needs Pc100 slots (I already have the ram)

Its needs to have a AGP 1x/2x/4x slot to acomadate a Creative BAnshee Video card and must have at least 5 PCI slots.

I am willing to pay 40 bucks for the processor and mobo (because of the age).

PM me or email me. Thanks a bunch!

I used to have just AMD. Ever since I went to duallys though, now that's all I have. I will be getting a dual AMD rig though, don't you worry. I wish AMD would have jumped into the dually ring a long time ago though. Could you imagine a dual AMD K6-2 setup? :) That'd just be neat to have one.

A dual Athlon XP1700+ (both OC'd to 2200+ specs would be REALLY NICE)

I used to HAVE a DUAL K6-III board about 4 years ago but sold it on SysOpt when I first started.

I have never heard of a dual Socket 7 mobo. Are you sure you're not meaning a dual Athlon?

EDIT - Let me rephrase that, I've never heard of a dual Socket 7 mobo that supported K6-2's or K6-3's.

$40 is pushing it for a Slot 1 P3 w/ mobo, even today.

About the best slot 1 you can get is a variant of the P2 333. For some reason, this one (I've had one of these before) it outperformed most P2s and a lot of P3s. I can't remember offhand what the number on it was, but it was pretty powerful.

asus and tyan made dual socket 7 boards that i know of(seen em on ebay). both only worked with pentium cpus

k6s were not made for dual configuration...anyway

That's why I edited my post. I Googled and found the "dual socket 7" boards and thought "Duh!". So I Googled for "dual k6" and came up w/ squat.

Like I said, I don't think AMD went dual until the Athlon.

well maybe there is a way to "unlock" them somehow....

like my k6 3 400 is "coverless" and i see areas where a capacitor or whatever might go.......
