hi guys.

Trying to dcpromo via AD wizard but get this:

-----------------
Operation failed because:

System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NtFrs\Parameters \SysVol: The system cannot find the file specified.
------------------

I tried creating a few different entries but none work. I do have what seems like the proper files in system root SysVol/SysVol and Netlogon but not in the registry.

Anyone have that registry entry data / values that they can post here so I can try to create the proper key to get dcpromo working?

Thanks - will check back later, i need to take a break 8-P

I'm running "dcpromo" now on my 2KServer. I'll let you know in a few what the values are. There was nothing in/below \SysVol before running "dcpromo".

EDIT - "Restart Now" . . .

Uh, I may not be able to give you that info. I'm stuck on "Restarting network connections . . ."

No biggy, I was gonna reinstall when I got my SCSI drives from stant093.

Let this be a lesson, don't run "dcpromo" if you have no idea what it's going to do. :)

I'm back up. I have exported the 'NfFrs' registry key if you want it.
