I've got this OEM-XP loaded new box with a 80Gig disk and a crappy organization to do with PM7+ 7.01 update (31MB D/L) grrr).
I'd been a wizzard with win98 and PM4 years ago and have a lot of respect now to do the same with PM7+XP :(

Here's the plan:

C: 30G NTFS full bloated -> reduce 5G NTFS primary
D: 35G NTFS backups -> reduce convert 2G FAT32 logical
E: 5G Fat32 restore -> move to end of logical

C: move 2G up and create 2 empty hidden primaries
1. 250MB fat16 for win98lite micro
2. 1,7GN fat32 for win98lite sleek
Create a number of 2Gigs and 16gigs logicals inbetween previous D and E
Move common Apps from C -> new E
Move backups from D -> new F, use D as CD image disk (come back later on this)

Now the hot part:
Install Bootmagic and configure the fat16 and Fat32 win98 systems. What are the probs here with XP then?

Next part I come later up with it (another old drive), first need to accomplish this phase.

Any comments for this?

And here I am again:D
The reorganization took place, PM crashed badly on the boot NTFS partition:(
Had to wipe the OEM-installion and start from scratch. The recovery disk just installed a bare system, a separate HDclone recovery didn't work, though it endlessly copied stuff.

Just starting to recall a NTbackup which I took in the very beginning. Duh, what a mess to find the program on the CD, I was off-line and all I could remember was, it's hidden somewhere deep on the CD.

So another few hours to reestablish everything:D

I'm up and running, somehow I lost my auto-dialin, hmm have to look around a bit;)

What ever it made it go away, MS-Q316530 had the answer;)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\RemoteAccess\Profile\ ConnectionName
In the right pane, double-click the AutoConnect value, and then reset the value from 1 to 0 . (note: to disable autodial)
Don't no which of my messing arounds did that.

Now off into the multiboot adventures:D

This multi boot business is trickier than I thaught:(
BM7 doesn't like to be installed on NTFS and XP, converted to fat32 and it went on, but didn't show up after initializing win98. An old BM1 disk let me go back to XP and delete BM, then reboot with disk and reinstall BM on fat16.
A lot of try and error though:(

Now my first fat16 98lite is up and I have problems now to find all the damn drivers for the new hardware, got only NT and up stuff with this box. Oh well, will last another few days until I can put my old 80gig drive into this new baby;)
