I have fast count or mntsnow installed it for me. i have a question for him / But, I figured you all might want to know this also.
if you take or publish your site to your HDD and than republish it to another server. will you lose your count you have now.
I have looked at the source code for the counter. and still didn't know what I was looking at. or it it if my new server will let me use that one??

Gene,
It actually will depend on the type of counter installed. Some just use an internal counter which can be manually set to any number you wish (such as Frontpage counters) and others such as the one I originally setup for you which is a 3rd party (MS bcentral) one which keeps a running total of pages as counts when the code is called for from their server to be displayed on your site

I was talking about the one you installed for me. I hated that play one with fp2000 I made.
if I just publish my site to it's new home with that code in it. will I still have my counter. for that is why you went out of your way to do it for me. I keep missing the darn thing up when I made a change to my index page. when I did it with the real one you installed. it never messed up>

I have yet to find a good counter.. My host provides "Stats" which IMO is far superior to any counter
