I would start with IE, click on help, online support
Maybe there:rolleyes:
Or go into control panels and see if there is something there

I would check this out first: Click Here (http://search.support.microsoft.com/search/nlsearch.aspx).
You'll find the following topics discussed on that site as well as several more that pertain to your situation. I posted that general link for you and others that may be experiencing similar problems but with a different version of Windows.

saying insert my windows xp cd Do you just have 1 CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive? If not, try inserting the CD in the other drive(s) before you proceed with the installation/setup. Usually if it pops-up like that I just click on Browse and find the file(s)/directories that it's looking for manually.
Have you been able to work this out?
now - there are two programs that go about installing outlook - IE is one and office2000 is the other I'm aware of and I've seen the two conflict.
So - you might check both the ie setup and do a custom install to avoid it installing outlook and the same for office2000 if you are running that.
just something else to look at - something else to consider when you hunt down trying to rip out outlook and wondering why you keep getting outlook errors and installs....
