So, I am in the process of replacing my Arescom NetDSL 800 with a Cisco 677, since I read elsewhere that its compatible with Qwest/MSN.

I have my userid/password necessary to make this work, however, I'm struggling with getting the 677 configured. MSN support did offer that they had Cisco 678 instructions on their site, but I have yet to find them. So...

1) Does anyone know what incantation I need to speak to get my Cisco 677 to connect to Qwest/MSN? And,
2) I know the 677 only does DMT and the 678 does both CAP and DMT (I also have a 675), but is there really any difference between these guys? If I do manage to convince MSN to give me the config instructions for the 678, will it work on a 677?

Off into the great unknown....

My NetDSL still works for now....

Thanks for any help you guys can offer.
