Why get a LCD for a gaming rig? You get 1000% better refresh rates with a CRT.

I am guessing you have other machines in a network with 10/100/1000 NIC cards connected up?

A TFT for games.... that better be for space saving...

A Pure top spec machine... and no DVD RW of any description?

Well, its a nice machine... if I had one machine, you can bet it'd be that (with the DVD RW though..)
Of course, I have 7, so they have to be scaled down a bit...

I've heard lots of good stuff about the Sony DRU 500A and it's successor, the DRU 510A. You can get the 510A for $172.50 at NewEgg. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&catalog=5&manufactory=1112&DEPA=1&sortby=14&order=1

First thing to do, is look up the compatability of your DVD player with the different formats of DVD.

Here (http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php) is a chart.... see if yours is listed (many pages).
