OK, since my question is SMP related Im asking it here. I'm trying to figure out how to run Eccp on this twin 850, the OS is 2000pro with 512mb PC133. Here's how Randy told me to do it and my repley to him:
--------------------------------------
Randy, I followed your instruction

just make 2 directories:
eccp1
eccp2

copy all the files for eccp into each directory (don't forget to see all files!) except plist and eccinfo. Start one eccp client and let it create the the plist and eccinfo files and start crunching and then start the other one. Then make the additions to the startup group so they will both start when the system boots up.

my repley:

And is there supossed to be two eccp icons showing in the task bar? I only got one, and when I started the second clinet, all that happened was I got a quick blink of something. not a pic of the client starting up and doing a self test and setting a start point. did I do something wrong?

Thanks... btw, this is running win 2000pro.
--------------------

Now for a test I went and shut the first client dpwn, and when I started the second one in #2 it came up, did the self test and created a start point and went crunching. when I try to get the #1 going, all I get is a blink. so I left it like this for a hour, went back, checked the dp on #2, the one I could see up, shut it down, tryed #1 angin it started and it show it hasn't had done any new dp's. where have I messed up?
I can only get ehter #1 or #2 going, not both of them.
thanks

Edit: even set on high { give me your cpu! } task manger is only showing a 50% use of the cpu's.

Ok, I got both proc's running Eccp as cli. at 100%. now what does this mean: run with " -v " to see progress. and how do I do this? and also, how do you dump the DP's or is this cli just auto dumping? Explane please, this is all very new to me.
Thanks

They should both be running Eccp
the software itself is made for SMP use
and should detect the 2 cpu's automaticly

there is a dual client but it dont run as fast as the singles in diff. dir.
if you add -v to the (eccp109 -v) it will show how many Iterations a sec you are doing and points waiting to be sent(pending)

eccp109 version wCL130
eccp109 [-v | -create-only | -xmit | -xmit-only]
-h : Show this help then quit
-v : verbose
-create-only : create a point list, if necessary, then quit
-xmit : automatically return results as necessary
-xmit-only : return pending results, then quit.
-idle : set priority to idle (default)

btw <control c> to stop things in dos
as for sending if you online all the time your .INI should have this line

PERM_CONN=1
