Actually, if I had the presidents to spend on one of those MACs, I'd have one sitting here just to learn more on it and have the experience.

either Charlie is a bit antiquated or his review is (I'll take the latter to be the case) because the Dual G4 1.25 GHz is not the fastest Mac out.

I'm not sure how they would match up in After Effects now, but assuming the Dual G5 slaughters the fastest P4 HT, that comparison would still be a bit off as the G5 is a 64 bit chip.

Interestingly, on that link (http://www.top500.org) I posted yesterday,we see the Mac cluster w/ 2200 2GHz processors reaching 10.3 tflops and smoking the Dell cluster which had 300 more (2500 Xeons) running at 3.06GHz (9.8 tf). The Mac and Dell clusters respectively ranked 3rd and 4th most powerful super computers in the world.

If I was going to get a dedicated graphic workstation, I would get a MAC no doubt... But that's not the case for me these days, so...
