Hi,

Im a java developer and i've been thinking to build my first computer from scratch (i'm a newbie!!).The purpose for this system will be mainly for delevopment (java,c,php, web based techologies, host a apache only for test my applications,etc..). I'm not a hard gamer so i dont want to do extreme overclocking, maybe middle-overclock without compromising the stability of computer. Besides, i like quiet computing.

So i want to build a reliable, quiet and quality computer (extreme performance is not my goal). I choose this configuration:

- Case Antec Sonata (with PSU Antec True Power 380S included).
- Mobo Asus A7N8X (version non-deluxe, at least i don't need cool features!!)
- AMD XP 2500+ (i like Barton core, people suggested me to get a AQXEA stepping model for overclock, really matters??
- Corsair TwinX512-2700LL (2 mem modules of 256 Mb)
- Hard drive Samsung SP1614N 8Mb Cache (almost quiet like 'Cuda and good perfomance, what you think about reliability??)
- Fan/heatsink Zalman CNPS7000A Cu or AlCu model (Anyone have been fitted in a mobo Asus A7N8X with Antec Sonata case???? It's too heavy the Cu model for the 462 socket?? Better the AlCu model?)
- Thermal paste Artic Silver 3.
- The rest of components will be reused from a older pc i have (a pentium III): a cdrom drive, a pci graphics card, a pci modem, a floppy disk.

What you think about this proposal? Any suggestions??

Thanks a lot,

Regards, Carlos. :)
