How would i over clock my proc?
Noticed that my proc currently runs at between 19deg c and 33deg c so i rekon theres a little bit more i can run with?
Please help

Howdy theweekid, welocme to XPC! :D
First thing to ask yourself is: can I afford to damage my CPU by playing with overclocking? :o
If the answer is no, I'd suggest rethinking the urge to overclock, at least until you can afford to replace your CPU if it dies. :)
Next question: Why do you want to overclock? Is it just the challenge of overclocking? Or do you want to boost performance for gaming? CPU speed is only one factor in gaming: video performance and RAM speed are both other factros which can majorly effect gaming performance, so you'll need to address those rather than merely overclock the CPU if you want to improve gaming.
After all that, still want to overclock? :p

Well yeah can afford it, and to be truthfull its just the challange. to learn to do something new!
Just one of these boring people who start work at 6 am and finish at lunch time and then have nothing to do for the rest of the day so wouldnt mind learning overclocking.

If you really wanna learn to overclock, instead of just going through the motions, I have a suggestion: The Book of Overclocking (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/188641176X/techimocom-20/002-3055968-6924819). I have a copy, and it's a great reference. :D
If you just wanna try to push the CPU a bit faster, though, first set up some programme that will push the CPU to the limit (use it 100%). A good way to do this is to run a distributed Computing program like www.find-a-drug.org. :) Once you run such a program for a while, you will see what your CPU temps are like under load. When you noverclock, you'll also try to push the CPU to 100% to see if the overclock is stable. :)
Try running something to continually use 100% CPU for half an hour, and then post back what your temps are. You want to make sure that even minor overclocks won't cook your CPU too quickly!
My approach to overclocking is always be cautious, and take it slowly. ;)

Apparently that board needs the CPU unlocked to change the multiplier.

IMO this is hte easiest way to unlock it.

You can just up the FSB until it does not boot or becomes unstable. You can also bump the voltage up on that board to get you a bit further. If it fails to boot when playing with the FSB then you may need to clear the CMOS to get it to boot.

Mickwish i tryed find a drug and ran it, check the system performance in windows task manager on xp - and it did run at 100% after 45 mins of doing so the hotest it got was 36 deg c
jad1097...that speed strip looks like a sweet little product.
Of course, I unlocked mine by putting a strand of wire in the cpu socket pin holes. It did the same thing and cost a whole lot less (a sacrificed junk bin ata-66 cable is the total cost involved).
I must admit...I did have that 'uneasy' edge after putting the wire in before I powered the system on...just one of those double guessing "am I sure I put it in the right pin holes" kind of things. :D

I thought about doing the wire trick myself. Maybe one of these days.
I don't know how accurate this is but htought it was interesting. Interactive Pin-Mod guide (http://www.ocinside.de/go_e.html?/html/workshop/pinmod/amd_pinmod.html)
