OK, I can't put it off much longer. I have carpel tunnel, and now my hands are going numb, I have to use this keyboard I have ...
except I can't make it go..

It's a Logitech cordless natural keyboard, and It just won't go. I have replaced batteries, nothing. Any suggestions? The computer doesnt see it. I don't want to take the time to return it, if I'm just missing something small.

Is it a Infra Red model or is it a radiowave model? If it's a infra-red model and you have florescent (sp) lights in the same room that can effect them. If it's a radiowave model is the "reciever" near the monitor? try relocating the receiver away from the monitor and or speakers...

Just my thoughts as I dont use a cordless keyboard

:) me neither right now:D
But I think it's RF, but I do have a little florescent (sp) light on the table, I'll try that too!

Problem is the computer doesnt know it's there, how do I tell if it's the usb or the keyboard?

lets see- a wireless usb device - could you have picked a more problem prone set of connections to use a keyboard with -

auction the damned thing off on e-bay and buy a ps2 connector ergo keyboard -

If you ever need to go into safe mode on an OS - USB stops working - and I've seen more problems on wireless connections for keyboards and mice than they are obviously worth.

Don't waste your time - replace it -

Well, maybe you just need to put in 4 sets of batteries and update the software 2ce? oh boy! I'm glad I'm tenacious at times. :)

That chair would be the best!

I might even be able to survive an UT online:D

Right now, I just die a lot:rolleyes:

Learned something new at www.usb.org in their forum area -

some, but not all USB devices have a USB boot protocol - this enables them before the windows OS level drivers are up and running. Most typical of such devices are boot-able USB drives, newer mice and keyboards.

I wonder if perhaps, somehow, the boot protocol in your keyboard is defective? Perhaps that is causing your problem? I have no idea if that is something that can be fixed.
