there was a fire last nite in town...but the news gets worse.
the fire started around 8 pm last nite, i was down the street getting something out of my friend's glove box. i was just getting out of the car and locking up and i heard the fire whistles go off and saw trucks start flying down the street...didnt think anything of it til i saw one stop just down the street from where i was...i turned aroun and saw smoke rolling out the window of the one building...little did i know that this window was the window that overlooks the street from the computer shop that i always would frequent...the guy that ran it was like a father to me, my mentor...he taught me almost everything i know about computers and electronics and how to repair them. the fire companies(4 of em, and another 3 on standby) got the fire out, but the whole second floor was destroyed(the floor that Randy lived on and had his shop on, he owned the whole second floor)...at this point they went in and started to search for people...as far as i know atm there was no one in the building, but i have this bad feeling about it...i have a feeling that Randy was trapped in his shop(the room that the fire started in from what i understand)...
this guy was like a father to me, taught me everything...his daughter and granddaughter are like family to me too...i just hope that in some form of a miracle they werent home at the time...it would be really sad to see Randy go out like that...he was/is one of the greatest people i have ever met...i dont know what started the fire, and i probably wont know til tomorrow when the sunday paper comes out...these are the ony details i know right now...i will post back when i find out more, but if by the slightest chance that randy wasnt home and is ok, i will probably not be around too much for awhile so i can help him get back on his feet...
