A while ago you all helped me with a site I made for a body shop I worked at....The problem I had was loading slow due to pics. snow man and others optimized them for me...how did you do that? I have Adobe photo elemente 7.0 that came with my scanner...but I haven't really played with it much, any tips would be great.

I am doing a site for a local company up the road from me, I got the job cuz I taught him to scuba dive, and he liked our dive shop site. I told him I am a hack, but I still got the job....go figure.

Also I may need your service snow man and NCD for a logo...I'll have to get back to you on that!

Thanks

Basically it's just called Optimizing for web...It works on Compression of the image...the trick is to find a balance between the compression and image quality... in short just try different levels of jpg compression tell you find what is acceptable to you

I did see that on option under "file save as"
Thanks, I'll be messing with it..the site is loaded with pics.

I'll pm you about a logo later next week, if I can get them to spend a bit extra. :)

"Save as" is not the same as "save for the web" with Adobe products. You will not get optimization using that method...

I use photoshop 7 and save for web. I get a .gif image and they load pretty darn quick. I think Elements also has this feature.. They are pretty much the same with the exception that Elements wont do layers. Am I correct?

Well, I know Element 2.0 had layers you can work with. Anyhow..

Press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+S at the same time and you will get the "save for the web" in Elements...
