How often does a PCI slot go bad?

Is there anyway to tell other than pulling everything out?

I think the video card is tearing up my pci slot cause the stupid thing is so big and heavy.. Any little movement, and I loose my video. But if I shut it down and push on it or wiggle it a little it comes back. Can just one go bad? Or are they like Christmas lights and if one breaks they all do??

Well, personally, I've never had a PCI slot go bad on me yet. It appears that your PCI slot contact tensions are getting worn out causing the PCI card to wiggle. Try pulling the video card out and cleaning the gold contacts using a rubber eraser. Maybe this will help it to make better contact...
