I got home around 7ish and a cable truck was outside. I hung around till they showed up, she was next door doing whatever, I explaned my problem and she grabed a new 5200 from her van and came inside, she pulled mine and installed the other new one. made a cell phone call to proviensh the new modem.

Holy Corn Cobs! I'm up at 3mb/256KB..

She said my D/L speed might come down a little as they still are configuring the new caps & systems around here. We had a little chat about tech suport and and well :D hehe

don't know about seeing more of me to soon, lol, I'm suposse to be chopping right now. I'm home early as my daughter is not feeling well. I think it was to much snackes after school imo. I hope.

Adelphia called me on the phone this afternoon asking if I was interested in using their service. They sure made it sound good, 3 meg download speed and 128 K upload. I don't really care about the upload speed that much so it sure sounds good. After my discount for using their package it should only cost $34.95 a month according to the guy I talked to on the phone.

But then I keep thinking of the experience that madfish has been through and I'm not really sure if I want to get involved in that crap.............:confused:

Glad to hear you got things straightened out. (I wouldn't have been as gracious in waiting)

I have Cox Cable and their setup guy was first rate. Haven't had any trouble yet. I also have a Motorola modem which seems quite good.:)

spidey it's suposse to be now 3MB - 256KB, befor they upgraded it was suposse to be 1.5MB - 256KB, and ur right next door to me :)


Now I don't see why it's 256KB uploading as you can't use it for anything really but P2P. 256 is a waste if I can't use it with my game file ftp. And P2P sucks up the bandwith more then someones home website would.
