I recently fried my msi kt3 ultra and am now looking to buy a whole new pc for myself.
I am very interested in the MSI KT6 mobo BUT it doesnt have 4 holes for a bigger heatsink....I notice the majority of mobos I look at do not have a place for a bigger heatsink and I dont trust clips in the case of a 80mm or 92mm fan.
So far the only 2 mobos I can think of are the Asus A7N8X Deluxe and Epox 8RDA3+. $124 roughly and $110. They are a little more than I would like to be spending however - considering the KT6 is about $80.
Anyone have any suggestions on a mobo that would work with either of the above heatsinks??? A board that LOVES OVERCLOCKING (like the Asus and Epox)....I dont NEED 400FSB support since im looking to get a 333 XP2500+...
But i really would like some suggestions as I would like to make the purchase SOON......I have spent about 10hrs in the past 2 days trying to find the right mobo, and the asus and epox are it.....but if i can find something a little cheaper, about just as good for oc'ing, and able to accept a HUGE heatsink...that would be excellent
thank you!
