I am having a lot of trouble with my KVM switch..
It's an omniview 4 port KVN with audio..
The first time I plugged it in, it didn't work.
Then I redid it and it did.
Yesterday it just pooped out.
On one puter it works fine.
Another one, the mouse doesn't work.
Another one the video doesn't work.
Are these things that delicate? Or do you think I just have a stinker and should be calling Belkin for a replacment?
Anyone ever delt with Belkin before?
Yep mntsnow mine looks just like yours.. except yours works!:jaw: :p

The only things I can think of are :
A) They won't plug in all the way or correctly into the switch therefore it won't work.
B) Their might be a compatibility issue w/that switch and some of your PC's hardware.
C) Driver Issue?
D) What did you do differently the second time that made it work?
E) It's not setup properly hardware/software wise
F) It's becoming defective...call Belkin and ask for a replacement.
We use one similar to that @ work : F1D208-OSD (http://www.gorilla.net/rackmounts/kvm_monitor_controllers.htm), but I have little experience w/switches and related hardware. Mntsnow would most likely help you out more in this case...sorry. :(

Well I would have to say I would be calling TechSupport and then getting an RMA if needed!

I'm pretty rough on my stuff and havent had any problems with mine....Just a thought...Do you have any of your control cables running along side power cables? It's best if you don't ;)
BTW, does your (buggy?) KVM switch have it's own AC Adapter? My friend went through a few KVM switches, and he found that the ones without their own power supply tend to have problems maintaining the connection with the second computer (the one not being controlled).
I've got the DLINK 2-port KVM switch, and I Love it. Works like a charm.

Well, this time it seems it was the darn video card.
I pulled off the side of the case gave it a shove and it's working.
But I did move the cable to the one open spot too incase it was the connection. I'm also wondering if the belkin cables that are all molded together were such a good idea afterall.
I do need one more set of cables. One of my monitors is sick and dying.. I'm not sure what to get....
Hmm no power supply.. Hey Mntsnow! You have yours plugged in?

Nope....and it works great :) but I do have a 9vDC adapter that must be used when updating the firmware.

I've decided it's the video card in one of the computers.. time for a new one.
