Better Winx xp disk defrag?

IS there a free disk defrag that Can defrag the whole disk even system files? or better yet is there a way in windows to shut down and defrag like scan disk?

I don't know of a free version. There used to Diskeeper Lite edition, but they seem to have goten rid of it off of their site.

As for retail, I would recommend Executive Software's Diskeeper


And yes, you will get %100 defrag using this software a long as you have enough unused disk space on the partition you are defragging. The windows XP version is slow, can't defrag 100%, no scheduling, no frag-guard, etc...

Same here... I've been using Diskeeper since version 5 and I love it!!!
I can't find Diskeeper Lite either. Probably because Win 2000 and XP comes with it anyway.
