View Full Version : Cox cable 3 routers and a modem

FOr the past 2 weeks or so ive been having alot of trouble with my router (DLink DI-624) and modem (dlink dcm-200) combination whenever connected thorugh the rotuer the connection often and randomly drops and there is a large decrease in bandwidth so i thought...... defective router so i tryed an older rotuer made by netgear (FR-314) and i had the same exact problem .... pissed me off alot... so i went out and bought another router lol... a netgear (MGR814v2) and had the same probs.

All the comps on my network run win2k that bug has been patched off i dont knmow what else to say PLEASE HELP IF YOU KNOW :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

o ya and everything works fine when just connected through my cable modem:eek: :confused:

Welcome to XPC Ooz3r :)

Have you checked to see what the MTU is set to in the routers? Is it adjustable? I ask as I personally havent used either of those two routers as I use Cisco, Linksys and SMC brands

ya i changed mtu to what cox says its supposed to be... no difference
