Currently I own two computers,

one:
1.2GHz Athlon
392MB Ram
40GB HD

two:
486DX2 66MHz
16MB RAM
220MB HD

I have broadband...I'm thinking of upgrading the second, and networking the two...for sharing and internet access.

Need atleast $300 for the upgrade...will build soon!

Boy! You guys have a SOHO there! ;)

As I've said above, I only have three computers now. But this is only because I don't want to end up lugging these systems when I have to go back to the United States. I shall build myself a nice little network setup as soon as I get back to the states! Then I can post some diagrams like you guys, edwelly & Mntsnow! ;)

Newly installed Linksys 4 port router, with the UT server in the DMZ (a K6-2-500)
Behind the firewall is my Duron 700, kids 1.4 C, and the K6-2-333, on a hub so I can connect the work lappy.
All runing ECCp, and the 333 running D2OL.
I havent created a drwaing, but might sometime....
I have about 10 actual network drops in the house, hehe.
Two spare in the bedroon, and three in the living room

Glad to see you running D2OL, hirschY.
I've finally been able to resolve the conflict I had with not being able to connect to their servers. It turns out that I had to wait for my ISP (Road Runner) to provide me w/a new DNS. With that new DNS, I'm now able to connect just fine and I've been crunching ever since! :)
Nice setup BTW ;)

Mntsnow, why do you have seperate routers/firewalls for each system? Why not make use of the built-in 4-port switch??

Very interesting, and just curious... Thanks.

OK yippie we can look and ask questions.. :D

(hee hee Mntsnow is gonna wish he could change his ip and not tell me so I can't find the board again before my network is set up right;) )

Ohhhh You have several IP's assigned on each computer, right?
