OK lets see if I can ask this properly...........:D
When I lived in my previous house I had Attbi as my cable provider with a separate IP address for each of my four machines.
They only charged me $44.95 a month for this service until Comcast  took over they wanted $95.00 a month.
But before they changed over I moved to Maine and chose to get Verizon DSL with a 1.5 down connection for $29.95 a month.
A lot cheaper than cable..............:D
Now the question (After my short lead in) Right now I have the four machines all hooked up to a router and running sweet.
I have been thinking of switching it over to an ICS network so that we can share printers and such. Right now all the machines have there own firewalls and virus scanners. If I use my main machine as the host or whatever you call it can I remove all the firewalls and virus programs off of the other machines?
And would this be safe on the internet. As you can see I'm a newbie to this networking stuff................:)
