Not sure where to post this.
This really helped me. Maybe it's old news to you guys.

AM-DeadLink detects broken links and double entries in your browser's bookmarks. If a Bookmark has become unavailable you can choose to delete it. The program comes with an internal preview browser that allows you to take a quick look at your bookmarked sites from within the program. In addition, you can backup your entire collection to a ZIP file. AM-Deadlink works with Internet Explorer, Opera and Netscape.

Yes, it's very handy indeed! Who has time to sit there a check to see if each link in favorites it still valid!

However, I noticed that it has some flaws. Some of the links that it finds invalid, timeout, etc are actually working links. You should double checked before you delete them. Just right click on the URL that it finds invalid and then select Open with browser or simply double click on it. I noticed that they actually do exist, AM-Deadlink just couldn't connect to it... Still great utility! Thanks, bhess! :)

I just got through cleaning out about 40 deadlinks! :)

I'm a little hesitant to use this at work - we have some screwy firewalls here - on one firewall - you can get to the www but not to any internal sites - on another you can go internal - but not out -

If I were to use this tool - I suspect that half my stuff would be flagged as dead either way.... Is there a proxy set-up in this tool?
