I want to create a backup partition that's not visible in win2k or in DOS shell.

Is there anything built into win2k that can do this? Else, is there any reliable shareware/freeware that can do this? TIA.

TweakUI for Windows 2000 should be able to hide drives... At least the version for Windows XP does...

Yeah, I thought about TweakUI as well. But is that only for when you enter Windows? Will the drives still be hidden if someone boots up to the Command Prompt?

No.... The only way I know how to do that is to use Partition Magic

Yeah, TweakUI is only for Windows...

The multi-boot software OS Loader 2000 can also do this.
