BP6
2 Celeron 500's
768 megs ram
2 IBM Deskstar 30 gig drives
16 meg Stealth agp vid

I had some problems getting the drives to show up after post correctly..in find drives in bios they were seen as 30 gig drives. Set up SME server in a software raid 1 configuration after they were set as master/slave. Wouldn't work on seperate channels..
All went well..did a restore of the previous sme install to get all my files and folders back..had to reboot....The master now shows as a 538 meg drive..slave as a 30 gig. In bios..they show as 30 gig..after post..different size. Once SME is up..at command prompt
a df -h shows a 14 gig drive...hmmm.
Any thoughts?

what type of "restore"? and what was the prior configuration of the server the "restore" was made on/from?

This is a new server..and the problems arise from it only..the restore works fine..just that the disks are not seen correctly after the initial install..the disk seen as 528 megs breaks the mirror..the server runs..but I have no redundancy.. I replaced the mobo battery..

I did a new install to raid 1..reboot found the problem

You know...I have pretty much disassembled and reassembled a BP6 before, but I have no idea how SME loads the highpoint raid drivers in your case.

Sorry. :(
