I run a server at home, and part of it is used to host videos of my son and his pals skateboarding (they have aspirations of going pro)

I have one of my son that is about 11MB and it loads fairly quickly. We uploaded another of approximately the same size that highlights a number of the guys, and it is brutally slow to load. It seems that the whole movie has to load in the browser before it will play. Any thoughts on how to speed it up? The files are in .mov format. Is my only hope to install Darwin and hint the movies?
TIA
:)

Streaming is the way to go any time you want to serve larger sized vids or multiple vids concurrently

Well..after fooling with Darwin..we just compressed the file. I would be interested in how fast it loads for others

It installed without a hitch, but I couldn't get it to show any files..even the samples that came with it. The documentation for it is sketchy, but I can't figure out how files stored in /usr/local/movies can be streamed to my website...or be picked up as a url...
