I pulled from a Compaq Proliant a Smart array 2dh 295242-B21,
3 -9.1 Gig Wide ultra SCSI 3 Drives (7200RPM). It's working and installed on my home PC. I have a couple of question because I'm unfamiliar with these, and SCSI in general. Sandra benchmarks this running in RAID 0 at about half the speed of my UDMA5 drive, but when I use the array it seems every bit as fast as my IDE drive, are the benchmarks wrong?

Next, what do I do with it? Should I use it? Is it worth anything to sell? I saw this same setup on Ebay go for $150.00, is that realistic? Are these desireable?

Thanks

Sandra doesnt benchmark Scsi very well...atleast that has been my experiance. I love my scsi raid arrays.

As for selling it...Yeah you could but again I love my scsi setups and scsi is designed to run in a 24x7 enviroment so much more so than IDE so if your going to have a true file server or such Scsi is the way to go!
