my son has had this board for over 2 years. he upgraded to a new board so i took the asus board.

i am trying to use a duron 1.2/gforce2mx400/2 40gb hdd(i want to use raid 0/512mb corsair pc133.

i have installed just the cpu/video/memory and the video will not display anything on my monitor.

the system runs. there is a green light on the mobo(that is lit up)/fans spin but no video.

i have tried 2 other known working agp video and 1 pci video card and nothing.

the only changes that i made to the mobo was the jumper for the raid.

what else should i try?:)

are you getting the boot beeps? What are the spec's of the powersupply your using?

lastly take a close look at the capacitors on that motherboard as it would have been built around the time asus and others were using bad caps...look for swollen or bulged ones

no boot beeps:(

changed ram with known working ram.

changed power supply with known working ps.(it runs my new epox nforce mobo)

reseated cpu.(cpu was working in another system)

tried new video card(matrox 450 that is in my new system.)

after spending the day doing all these things my son comes by so i ask him how was the system working for him.

he said he wasn't getting anything on his monitor. the system just kept beeping.

i changed mobo with him on monday because i wanted to setup a mp3 server with raid 0.

i guess it is safe to say i may have to look for another mobo.:(

i just had a run of bad luck with my parts this week.

my new system isn't running because the heatsink wont turn unless i start it with my finger.:(

I bet it's got bad capacitors on it Robin.....Take a look at the thread I called "Tis a sad day" in which I show some pics of bad capacitors and what your discribing is exactly what that board and a couple of others I had with bad caps did

There isn't many boards made today that still use pc133 memory and has raid as most have discontinued building boards with 133 memory. But you can find plenty of them on Ebay and the trader forums.

If you have to find a new one, I've used the ABIT KT7A-RAIDs without much problem. Basically the same specs, but it'll give you another easy option.
