Anyone use phpBB? I think I am goint to try to set it up. I have a few questions, the big one is can it be used in a frontpage web?
Any help would be great!

I have worked with pbpBB, it's very good actually.
I would certainly try it out.
As for your other question, i'm not the right person to ask that.

I am almost there, I seem to be having a hard time setting up a database in mysql....in the reading stage now. I installed php. mysql and phpbb. so far so good!
Any help on a database will be great! (save me time)

What info you need on Sql? I've gotten pretty good with it.

I am hosting the forum, but I am paying for hosting from my site. www.eastbaydivecenter.com I just linked them togeather. When my time is up I will host the whole thing. (next year)

Thanks alot! I am having trouble setting up the use of avatars! I have them loaded on the server but I get an error. The screen flashes too fast for me to make out what it says.
Well I guess I can't complain, I did a lot today!

GohanSSJ, do you know how to add birthday notice on the stats section of the phpbb fourm? I have seen it on other phpbb2 sites, but cannot find any tips on it yet.

That should be in the Admin Control Panel and is an option that just needs to be turned on.

YES you can use it in a FP web.
1: Create your web in FP as usual.
2: Create a folder and name it whatever.
3: Import your folder structure for PHPBB
4: Create a link to the start page of your forum.
I did a similar thing with FP and YaBB forum for shits and giggles here http://67.166.101.233/forum/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl
