87 key - keyboards - lappy

under win 98se - the only keyboard known to it is the 101 - and since I have a 87 keyer - how do I set it to be recognized as what it is - in the bios it says - 87 - bu when windrs loads it says - 101 and some of the keys play havoc withe the operating of the board - when you plug in a 101 - you lose your hotkeys - like setting the brightness and contrast - the only way to go backwards is to use cmoskill and then increase brightness until your happy - now this is at least a solution - but it is a frigyy one.

I looked at the win.ini and found nothing loaded in keyboard - and the mode is set to # 4.

If someone could look at theirs - maybe I can use the same settings.
