Call me a bit mad but i had the idea to put a plasma ball in the front of my pc. I didn't think it would work but i think it looks fantastic. What do you think?

AMD XP 2000+
512 MB DDR
Gefore 3 Ti
SB Audigy
TKD Cyclone
120Gb HDD
Lian-li case.

Doesn't look bad, do you also have a picture with lights on to see how it got done?

It's not the neatest job in the world but it works.
The plasma ball is one taken from a small table top on (cost me £10) I removed the transformer and rewired it it plug into pc psu.
The glass spheare is mounted in a fan casing ( i used a penknife to cut out the fan and motor) That's then bolted to 2 drive bay covers which i cut out it fit.

surprisingly it doesn't even get warn, and it doesn't cause any interferance (static) that i was warned it might create.

The cool thing is that when you touch it the blue "plasma" comes to you finger in a very strong "beam".

I agree that is kewl given me a idea for a mini lava lamp i have lying around hmm....credit to you on something truely original dude :D
