Someone told me on another forum (techimo to be exact) said that if you lower the voltage to 1.74 (was it 1.74 volts???) you can get lower temps but process at the same speed. I did it before and it worked, but i reset my cmos and started over from scratch and wanted to know what setting of that voltage to make it do that. My search has come up negitive!!!

Yes lowering the voltage will run the proc cooler as long as the voltage is enough to keep the proc stable.

1.65 or 1.67 is the lowest i have seen one go that runs stable...and thats an athlon 2400+ XP with the palomino B core ....its the core voltage on the cpu that you lower....
