So bummed out by this one! I have a sale flyer for Officemax. They have a Cendyne 52x24x52 dc-rw drive for $9.99 after rebates. I have a 16x Cendyne in my amd box and love it. So I figured, for the price why not put one in my server. I get there, I have the box in my hand and I start to read ( go figure! ) It says it doesn't support w2k server editions. How sad! I would use it for back-ups!

Any Ideas on this matter....sale ends this Friday!

Brian

It'll probably work fine. Their license for the software probably is intended for desktop/workstations only. I've got a DVD burner in one of the servers that had similar warnings on the SW. It works fine. If not, then you will probably be able to get an update for your current SW from the SW manufacturer's site.
