Swap hard drive

Hi All
Need to swap W98SE drive between two PC’s . Is there any easy way to run two completely different hardware setups including modems and Outlook Express without having to sort out the jungle of System Devices that occurs? Or can I totally disable "plug and play" and hardware detection?

Unfortunately the only way to do what your asking to do is to fight thru the device manager.
