Dvd Rw

Does anyone have any suggestions on a DVD burner? I really haven't been paying to much attention to them, so What would be a good one to pick up? My In-Laws are looking to make backups of DVD's and possibly some video editing. Thanks in advance.

I personally can recommend the Sony brand as I have one and it has proven be a fantastic unit

Whats the difference between the +RW and -RW? I never have been clear on that..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they're basically pretty much the same, EXCEPT that DVD+RW is a newer technology, and is backwards compatible with DVD-RW. DVD-RW is older, not compatible with DVD+RW and is being gradually phased out.
