So I go out and get Vice City. Take it home, install it and try it out. It's been great, but now every sound has an echo. At first, the echo's started in Mafia. Now, it's everywhere else. Whenever I try to listen to some music, watch a movie, or anything else, there's an echo. It's becoming a real hassle. It can't be the drivers, since I have the latest ones, for my SoundBlaster Live 5.1 Gamer. I reinstalled the drivers, just to see if that was the problem, but to no avail, the echo's aren't gone. I'm banging my head on the keyboard because of this.

I had the same problem...
I uninstalled all of the SBLive software and let Windows XP automatically install the drivers upon reboot.
Before rebooting, however, I deleted all SBLive items within the hardware section of the Control Panel. Someone told me they had to do this a couple of times before it worked.
Everything seems to be working fine. The only problem you may have is if you use front and rear outputs. Rear outputs seem to be troublesome. Still working on that and I'll keep you posted...
I dont have vice city but I have been having alot of trouble with my sb5.1 and games. I agree with UpInHeeaa wipe all trace of the driver from you system, but I would recommend the latest drivers from creative as they have fixed all the trouble I had been having.
