Couple of probs, need any advice please.

1) I have a GF4 ti4200. When I install the drivers from the CD, it gives me some older drivers. I've downloaded the latest ones from Nvidea, and although they appear to install properly, the driver version never updates. And I'm getting pretty crappy 3dmark results, worse than I was getting with a lesser 3d card.

2) How do you alter AGP settings? My mobo can go to 4xAGP and my 3d card has 8xAGP, but as far as I can tell I'm running at 0x (at least, that's what 3dmark reports). How can I check or alter the AGP settings? It says in the manual that I can do it from CMOS but there are no options in my CMOS.

Any advice appreciated.

Mobo is a Matsonic MS9327E+(USB), brand new and definately supports 4xAGP. I have the latest drivers. It has flash BIOS but I dunno how to do that.

Running Windows ME.

P4 1700, 512mb, GF4 ti4200.

No other probs with machine, it's running fine, but not being able to upgrade the graphics driver is a pain and my 3dmarks are pathetically low.

Try removing your drivers first, then install the new ones.

BTW moved to correct forum.

Done that already, doesn't seem to make any difference.

Just noticed that when I'm putting the newest drivers in, I get an error message during one of the files, saying it's not been tested by Microsoft.....blah blah, so it won't be installed. I assumed that was just one file, but it's possible that it's cancelling the whole update? Odd, because it continues to install afterwards, and still asks me to reset the machine etc.

As for the mobo, I've put the latest AGP drivers in, but there are still no CMOS/BIOS options for AGP settings. Could it be automatic? How would I check?
