Okay, from what I have reads on the Internet it seems this card won't work with XP even with Linksys's Drivers installed. I have a BEFW11s4 Wireless router w/ 4 port switch and a WPC11 card for the laptop. I can't get this card to obtain an IP. I used Network Stumbler on the laptop and it sees the router, yet this card will not connect to it properly. Has anyone else experienced this? If so did you find a fix? Or are the only 2 options to buy a new card or revert my laptop to ugh... Windows 98?
Thanks,
Tom

Hopefully there is a few members here that use Wireless and might be able to shed some light...Unfortunately at this time I'm a hardwired person

I am having the exact same trouble! Same Setup as well. Can see/connext to router, but no IP address being assigned!
Is reverting to 98 a true 'fix' for lack of a better word? Does anyone else have this problem? Has anyone solved this problem (using the same equipment)?

I am not sure about WPC11 (It should work) but I do know that the other one (WPC54G) definately works (we use it all the time) with XP.
I have heard some problems with the older wireless routers, but not with the cards.

I tried it on 98 and still nothing. The card was given to me used so I am assuming its no-good.

I don't know if this will help or anything, but I had a problem with the WPC54G until I ran a router setup program on the laptop in question. It worked after that. I don't know but that could be the problem here.

Well, I just sold my laptop so it won't make a difference for me now. But I will keep the card and try it when I have a lappy. =)
