I read about this over at TIMO but since they guide that was posted was for PhotoShop which i don't own i simply tryed it in PSP7.

To get the right affect simply select it (hold the mouse button and move over the picture or press ctrl+a)

Now the affect isn't great because the picture are both pretty bright and the colours don't match at all, i will try later something better.

Ok this is how i did it.

First i made a new image, 500x500 transparent.
Then i simply made 1 pixel black, and leave the next 1 and then made 1 black again, i did this a few times and copied the whole thing and then pasted it alot of time, then copied a bigger part and filled the whole thing up.
Then i got 2 images and cutted both pieces of 500x500 out.
Then i copied the transparent picture over at 1 of the pictures (at that time i had 1 black pixel, then a real pixel of the picture itself and then a black pixel again etc) then i inverted it so i had the real picture, then i pasted that on the other picture and then your done.

I'm sorry if this isn't very clear but i'm not sure how to write, or actually say certain words.

You're definately on the right track.

BTW, that's frighteningly clever

Here's a quick'n dirty solution done in Photoshop:

1> Make 3 layers
2> Layer 1: Image A
3> Layer 2: Image B
4> Layer 3: Pattern with one blank pixel, one black pixel, one blank pixel. Make sure that the pattern is "black-blank" both horizontal and vertical.
5> Activate layer 2, hold down CTRL and click on layer 3 and press delete. This will transfer the mask from layer 3 and delete every second pixel in layer 2.
6> Delete or hide layer 3
7> Reduce the output level in layer 2 (Hold down CTRL and press L)
8> Save the image as GIF with 128 colors.

This is just a rough schematic on how to "hide" one of the images. Hint: Try moving layer 2 one pixel left or right if the image turns out wrong.

It took me about 3 hours before the image turned out right (trial an error process) but once you get the Output Levels reducing right in layer two things started to look useful - Happy PhotoShopping :-)

See the "CTRL+A images" section at the top ;)

Aren't PSP7's tools similar to PS?

Not totally sure, i haven't been doing alot with layers, but when i saw the picture that was zoomed in i understanded how it worked, so i simply did it my own way.
