I registered at SysOpt and got about 5 posts before it blew up. Then I registered at TIMO and linked here from there.

Truth be told, I hardly ever go to TIMO anymore, but I check the forums here on a daily basis (but I am a total lurker so I hardly ever post ;)).

Yes I first started my forums under my DigitalMntsnow.com and used Snitz forums which are ASP code driven. and it was ok and it wasnt until after the whole sysopt thing that I started to think I should really put forth an effort to make my own site more public. btw the Original forums are located Here (http://65.100.204.164/forums/default.asp) incase you wanted to look...You will probably have to change the time to be able to actually see posts as they are all old now :)

Yes, it used to DigitalMntsnow Tech Forums. However, we made the change to Xtreme PC Central. Migrating all the tips & tricks I used to have in the "Xtreme Optimization Forums" a freebie board. However, Mike has always been a good friend to me since the days of SysOpt and decided I wanted to push DigitalMntsnow.com which had far more potential than "Xtreme Optimization Foums". I love this forum because of the mateur attitude that everyone has. And I'm not saying that because it's Xtreme PC Central. I haven't seen many forums with the kind of people that hang out here at XPC.. Thanks everyone! :)

Same here NDC, although places like TechIMO are very good, they are still nothing compared to XPC, because of the size of that board they simply can't create the atmosphere that XPC has.

This is simply a community which you can proud of to be a part of it.

I was over at USALUG setting up IRC members, I set up mntsnow, we chatted for a spell, I learned he was here, so I paid a visit here. Then realized he was at TechIMO, and now I see EndobioticChaos, NDC, I think crouse said he had lurked here as well.

Needed nfo on a network that was driving me crazy. I didnt get the nfo but the new spot is kool - I actually learned some things. :)

(BTW, it turned out that at least one employee was cancelling the antivirus update whenever it popped up b/c she "didnt want to do the wrong thing." :rolleyes: So it seems her node compromised the entire LAN w/ some sort of DDOS.)

I came over to XPC back in I think August of 2002, Originally checked it out through a link from ExplosiveLabs.com & thought it was okay but didn't sign up right away, being that EL was only the second forum site that I had joined, my first was MX6.com for my car, anyways a couple of days or weeks later, jadison started to post over there & had a lot of good stuff to say about XPC, also I think NDC posted a few posts over there, & I know Mntsnow posted a few times too, so I came over & registered to see what it was like & stuck with it, about the same time EL started to go down hill, servers got hacked, lack of participation, etc. So I started to spend more & more time over here. I was gone for about a year as parents had to get rid of internet for awhile, & I had moved out of the house, well I had to move back a few months ago, & we decided to get the net again, & i came back to the one site on the net I can consider a home. I still visit EL once a day or so, to see if there are new posts, but spend most of time here.

I click a link at CrazyPC web site after ordering some fans and a side cover for a LIAN LI case looked around alittle told the wife hey this is a pretty cool site our systems are next to each others so we can look at our monitors. Put it in my fav. Came back a couple times read about the FAD then joined.

See I havent replied yet so here goes.

I, as others, came from TIMO and SYSOPT. I was new to the whole forum thing but I quickly realized that a lot of the names from those two were here as well, sort of a home base at the time, so I thought. I registered one day while I was here and came back now and again with a few posts along the way. Always liked the atmosphere a whole lot better.

Back around 12/2004 sysopt did something or somebody did where I could not post anymore there, some fluke thing, every once in a while it would go through but not usually. Had to go get my forum fix somewhere.

TIMO is fine but it seems to be a younger crowd apt to post to quickly and with little information, I mainly went there for the sale thread. It got bumped to RR and I go to TIMO little anymore.

That led me to start lurking here a bit more often. Got to be a little more familiar with people, realized I liked it more than sysopt anyway. Had been goaded about joining a DC project at sysopt for some time before that, wasnt real impressed with Einstein and after being here for a bit decided this seemed like the perfect home base for me and my machines, so I joined the team as well.

End of story, am here all the time now. Sysopt problem has been resolved and I do still frequent that on a regular basis, along with RR but XPC is my home.

I not real big on forums in general (except when I got a problem!:leftwink:), due to study commitments and two jobs, but I do vistit TIMO as well and have just joined R@H forum as well. I like the way XPC is set up and the people are (usually) rather friendly and quite helpfull.
