I must replace my CPU heatsink fan because I accidentally bumped it and broke a fan blade.

The fan measures 2.4" outside and the mounting holes are 1.9" on center. I have found many fans on the internet labeled 50mm, 70 mm, etc. but I don't know where that measurement is taken. Any ideas on what size the replacement fan is suppose to be?

You might be best off getting a new HSF combo, are you using a stock HSF? What socket is this HSF for?

The CPU is an AMD Thunderbird. I believe the cooler is a TaiSol but I am not certain. Socalgal built it for me about 18 months ago.

Hmm, I'm not sure where to get the fans, but you could get a very cheap heatsink and take the fan off of it and put it on your current cooler. Make sure that it fits your current cpu.

Also, 50mm,60mm,80mm,120mm are the measures of case fans mostly. This measure is taken from a side of a fan.
