This is a product I've been watching for 2 or 3 years now - I think it may well replace DVD-Rom technology and smart media in 5 years or less if they market it correctly -

Can you imagine buying one disk that has every copy of every movie made of any of Shakespear's works in every language by any director plus copies of all the books in e-book format plus a complete history/bio of William Shakespear plus cliff notes, a complete cross-referenced index and maybe even a smart avatar program to guide you through all of it in any of 150 of the most popular languages spoken on the planet?

For those who don't care for Bill's work - how about everything ever done by or about anything George Lucas ever did plus any Star Wars story or book ever written in e-book form plus all the soundtracks plus the BBC Star Wars radio show on one disk.

and the disk is actually cheaper to produce than a DVD-rom is today.....

I'd buy that for a dollar ;-)=)

That is very intriguing, I'd like to see how this technology takes off in the next year or so. I'll read more about it when I have some more time, but that picture of the transparent disc was pretty interesting. Thanks for the link :)
