I made a boot disk so i could format
but it wont detect it in boot up
can someone help fast

What OS?? You can download generic ones off the web...(been there..lol)
Did you check the Disk?
FDD?
Is the bios set to boot from floppy?
how did you make the boot disk? did you "copy" or did you use a system tool to create a boot disk?

Regardless of windows OS - I almost always select a win98 boot disk with CD-ROM support on it -

have you made a start up disk by going to Control Panel/ add and remove programs/ then make startup disk
once this is done start your computer ( make sure first boot device is your floppy in BIOS) with this startup and use tthe cdrom startup option, put your Winddows CDrom in drive and at dos promt change to the CDrom drive letter then open the Win98 or win95 file once this is open
copy format to A drive. this will place the format on the startup disk, or your can just type format c: once in the win98 or win95 file to format your hard drive.
