Hey, I'm back.
This time, I'm assisting a neighbor with his Cisco 678. The mode came flashed in an earlier DMT mode. I upgraded the flash, but ran into some problems when the upgrade canceled and I had to erase the CBOS and start over. After we did that, we were able to program it and the WAN connection came on solid with a sporatic blinking orange, looking as if it were talking to the local telco.
However, we are not getting a LAN light at all on the 678. The LNK is not showing and the ACT is not blinking. We've tried a crossover calbe and a regular one into the PC and even tried the 678 hooked into a Linksys Cable/DSL wireless router. The LAN port on the PC was blinking yellow when hooked into the 678 and it normally is solid yellow/green when it has a connection.
Is there anything we can try to get the Cisco to talk to the LAN port?
TIA.
