Check to see what your PCI buss is running at when your FSB is set to the 138. I'm wondering if your divider is not functioning correctly and the buss is being overdriven Any utility like Sandra can tell you what your pci buss and other busses are running at.

Try adjusting the voltage in the BIOS, or if you have jumpers on ur mobo., adjust it there.

BTW, you can download SiSoft Sandra HERE (http://www.sisoftware.demon.co.uk/sandra/)

Known issues with the KT266 boards

USB dropouts: Download a patch and newer BIOS at the MSI site -- http://www.msi.com.tw/support/driver/others.htm

USB doesnt work over FSB 137: No fix unless a newer BIOS has addressed this issue. A quick fix is to install a PCI USB card and disable the onboard USB.

Good luck

Thank you all for your inputs.

I have read at another forum that if the +5v of my mobo drops down and stays there, then a biger psu will be needed. Is this correct?

My +5v drops down to +4.75v to +4.80v with my 300w psu.

Please advise.

That is possible, but... Alot of times the readings are not correct from the motherboard. I bought the Enermax 550 watt PSU and was seeing readings of 4.90 to 4.95 on the 5 voly rail with MBM. But, after putting a load on the PSU and checking with a multi-meter, the voltage was 5.1 to 5.3 volts.

I would first try to confirm the voltage. If it is low then replace. Get the latest BIOS and see what happens.
