The sygate firewall on my PC keeps blocking unauthorized access attempts. BellSouth DSL support has been useless. I would appreciate any help or clues that you can offer.
Below are the details:
Direction = incoming
Protocol = UDP
Remote Host = 0.0.0.0
Remote Port = 68
Local IP = 255.255.255.255
Local Port = 67

well do you have any other computers on your own network?
It looks like some machine is looking for a DHCP server.
Both of those ports are pretty much harmless.
67 tcp udp bootps DHCP BOOTP Protocol Server
68 tcp udp bootpc DHCP BOOTP Protocol Client

No, just the one PC. The attempts seem to be about 20 per hour. I thought maybe it was the DSLAM from the phone company but their tech support won't even try to investigate.

Just block those ports as your not using them and ignore those "hits". Someone that is in your netblock has a misconfigured machine obviously

OK. They do tend to fill up the firewall traffic log though.

Can't you configure the Sygate firewall to "drop" those requests thus they would not be logged?
