Well, I've got the new machine O.C.ed to 1.78 Gig.So far, temps, all voltages, are in good shape.I'm gonna run it like this a few days, and see how she does.If all goes well, I'm gonna take her up to 1.8 Gig.Hopefully, that will help my crunchin speeds a little!! lol

Cool...see how high it will go.

BTW: My bud has his XP2700/333 running at 2.54 GHz and 198MHz FSB. It took a volt mod to the CPU, a volt mod to the chipset and a lot of playing. Basically, if you cool it well enough, it can handle higher voltages for overclocking.

BBA, so far, I haven't increased any voltages.According to my monitoring software, My V core is at 1.74 volts. She appears to be running just fine.I have noticed an increase in my K/sec in dnet so this is a good thing!!

Just an update Guys. I cranked her up a couple of more notches this morning.According to Sandra, she is now running at 1.81 Gig.same as an XP2200.I don't know how much further I will take Her,since I would like this cpu to last awhile!! lol I see another increase on my keys/per sec on Dnet already.Over 5 mil a second.I'll have to keep an eye on temps, and stuff today, to see how she does.Amazing what you can do with these things, just by increasing the FSB!!!

I got a stick of pc2100 that I got from my local computer supplier. They seem to sell good stuff!! I've never had a bit of problem with any ram I have gotten from them.
